Uhm... yes, I did this one for my friend and she loves Axel from Kingdom hearts (which is a really awesome game but I never got to play it TT-TT) and-... yeah, it was back in Japan, a boring evening and we were sitting in the kitchen of my teachers apartment where we stayed for two weeks and then she asked me if I could try to draw a picture of Axel. Which I did, with some KH-manga as reference. The only problem was I NEVER drew a man's body before, so he turned out to have an-... "eight-pack" @.@ well, so he is VERY muscular, OK? XD
Whatever... he's supposed to wear a summer kimono called yukata and drinking matcha (= japanese green tea which tastes incredibly good with ice cream btw) or something. ^^ I like this picture because it reminds me of those two weeks I stayed with my friend there all by ourselves. SO fun!
Aw, thank youuu. Yes, I was surprised that it turned out pretty good, in Japan I started using Copic pens and they're awesome but so hard to get here in Germany. -. -
I am trying to make the best use of what I am able to use... I wish I could use Photoshop or so but I don't have that tablet thingie and so-... TT-TT
Oh really? But... may I ask where'd you get those Copic markers and how much did they cost? o.O Weren't they expensive?
In Gemrany a normal Copic marker costs about 7-8 Euro! ( God how I hate Euro, I never know how to convert it into US Dollar or Pound... I used to know it perfectly when we still had Deutsche Mark... TT-TT)
Personally, I think that pictures drawn with computer programs are (in most cases) way prettier than the "traditionally" drawn ones... maybe also because it's easier to undo/correct mistakes. I always screw up in my pictures somewhere...
I don't have a tablet either. I did buy one at one point, but I couldn't get it to work well so I gave that away too. My markers cost like $30.00 for five of them. The tablet cost $80.00 LOL I'm not rich or anything, it's just that my friends are artists too, and if I can't use something then I give it to one of them. ^^ (Americans always spend too much money XD I just bought like 5 manga the other day).
To color I use my optical mouse or the touchpad on my laptop.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
